Hi, i'm using jwf 4 ref2, very often and with pleasure, on a laptop with 16gb ram and a i7-8550 cpu
Memory to use is set to 8192mb.

Since 3 weeks it is very slow when i do a render randombatch or mutagen.
perhabs, there is a parameter i changed or something with javax64
I emtied chached java files many times

how do i reset the jwf settings to default
and where are stored the changed jwf parameters like render size and quality

btw: jwf 4 running on a other slightly weaker device, surface pro 4(i5/4gb), with normal performance.

Thanks :)

Hi,
to reset all settings, delete the file j-wildfire.properties in your home-folder.
Maybe make a backup before, so can later compare files to find out what you have changed.

Cheers!

thx, that helped me 50% to get performance back to normal.

still have time of waiting when i
change gradient, 5 seconds
klick to next flame, 10 seconds
run random batch(5 flames), 2 minutes

i think there should be a done an improvement in running java on my laptop

Cheers

must be something on your side, runs very smooth on my laptop.
Maybe reducing the window size may help.
Maybe antivirus software or something like this?
