Occasionally hitting the cancel render button will cause JWF to freeze/lock. Originally I thought it was just taking time to reallocate memory or something, but I have left it an hour and another user in the group has done the same and it has become unresponsive.

I remember to save my work before rendering just in case, but if it does lock there's no way back in to do anything other than end Java as a task and start over.

Could you look at that when you get time, thanks.

Will check this, but it is rather difficult, when I can not duplicate the problem (which is the case until now). But will try...

It's difficult even for me to replicate it as it seems to happen at random. Someone suggested more memory? I'm allocating 16gb so that should be enough?

As I say it's just something to be aware of so no big rush to fix it.

It is unlikely that the freeze has something to do with memory, and 16 GB s already very much. But, if you have enough memory, you could try this.

Tried updating it to 24gb memory, still the same problem. The only thing I can think might be a clue is how many flames have snapshots. I usually have about 10-20 snapshots when it happens. Doesn't seem to happen if there's only about 5 or so?
